Nous avons été particulièrement heureux dans le gite Jasmin. Le site est enchanteur, la piscine particulièrement appréciée des enfants. Nos hôtes, Monsieur et Madame Chatagnon, leur famille et les personnes sur place ont tout fait pour rendre notre séjour le plus agréable possible et ils y ont pleinement contribué. Nous recommandons vivement cet ensemble, les promenades à pied aux alentours ont tout le charme que nous attendions.

"Perfect!"

La Varenne is the perfect base for a holiday in the beautiful Loire Valley. This is the third year in a row that we have stayed here and it never disappoints. The gite is very clean, well equipped (including Sky and WiFi), very comfortable and has a lovely private garden area to relax in. The (huge) grounds are brilliant, lots of space to run around, play badminton, volley ball, table tennis and more. The covered swimming pool is a real bonus too - whatever the weather. The newly added lake is an inspired idea, fantastic. What really makes a holiday here special though is the welcome from the owners who are quite delightful. They are very well informed, friendly and full of great advice on places to visit and things to do, which is a great help - there is so much to see and do in the region (we've barely scratched the surface after three visits!). There are five gites here of different sizes, each unique and with its own character. Mixing 'rest' days and days out works really well as there is plenty to do on either, our party ranged from 6yrs to over 70yrs of age and none were disappointed. We will be returning again!

Perfect for a sunny relaxing family holiday

'A very welcoming host, with excellent language skills (for those that struggle with French) he was always on hand for advice etc but still gave us privacy. The premises are nice clean and comfortable with a selection of both French and English TV and reliable internet connection ( A must if you have teenagers in your party) Whilst there are other properties on site this one provided the best location in terms of closeness to the pool, private rear garden. Plenty to amenities to keep families entertained - The pool - Table Tennis - Volleyball - Football pitch - a sand pit Four bedrooms (2 doubles 2 twins) each with their own ensuite shower rooms upstairs and a double downstairs with sink and toilet ensuite. Access to upstairs was by spiral staircases (two rooms to the front and two rooms to the rear) so getting suitcases up and down was a bit tricky but not impossible, although it might provide problems for someone with mobility issues. Highly recommend - will certainly return at some point' Yvonne C.

Very relaxed and enjoyable week at Gîte

"Many thanks to our welcoming hosts Virginie and Gerard, we had a lovely week. The gîte we stayed in comfortably accommodated 9 of us (5 kids, 4 adults) and was equipped with everything we needed. The pool was a big hit with the kids and the table tennis was fun too. Everyone appreciated the peaceful and quiet French countryside, I can see why people return year after year. We enjoyed some short trips to the local market in Loches and the crazy huge sculptures at Chateau du Rivau. All in in, highly recommended." Dave L.

"Our hosts were the most friendly people you could ever wish to meet, nothing was too much for them and always on hand for advice for what to see and do. There is so much to do in the grounds of the property that the 2 4yearolds went to bed each night tired out. Outside you have so many places to see that one week is no where near enough. Nous trouvé que ce lieu était particulièrement bien adapté pour un séjour de retrouvaille entre familles ; nous avons particulièrement apprécié : - la séparation phonique entre appartements (murs très épais), ce qui permet la bonne ambiance entre familles (personne ne souffre des cris des petits des autres) - la qualité de l'accueil et du service de M et Mme Chatagnon : ils ont réagit à quelques besoins spécifiques avec une rapidité et une efficacité qui nous ont impressionnés - la piscine confortable et bien sécurisée - la tente égyptienne sur sable bien adaptée aux jeux des petits et au confort des adultes" FG

Idyllic accommodation and great host

"We really enjoyed our stay and the owners, who live next door, could not have been more helpful or friendly. If you were to stereotype a rustic French farmhouse, this would be it. It is set within sufficient grounds for games of football, volleyball and ping pong and it is easy to travel to and from. Futuroscope, Tours, La Brenne national park and ZooParc de Beauval (where they have 2 pandas) are all within 1 hours' drive. The swimming pool was great for our kids and heated, which is not always the case with pools in France. Our stay was during the UK May half term holiday and, when comparing to other venues, this was as good as the others, but much better value, so we would happily recommend it to other travellers."
